North Carolina Fishing Report from Affordable Charters
March 30th, 2008 by Gillwetter Press | No Comments »Inshore this past week has been very windy, but we still managed to have some good catches of Virginia mullet in the 1 to 2 lb range, a few speckled trout, gray trout, red drum & black drum.
In the surf some flounder are starting to show up with some speckled trout, small bluefish, red drum, & Virginia mullet.
On the piers bluefish, small croaker, Virginia mullet, & a few flounder.
Fishing tip of the week: There has been a few changes in size & limits. Ocean flounder minimum is now 15 ½ inches. Internal are still 14 inches. Gray trout are still 12 inches but you can only keep 6 per day. If you would like to have a list of size limits go to your local bait & tackle shops or you can go to the website at www.ncfisheries.net/recreational/recguide.htm. Keep fishing & stay safe.
