Affordable Charters Fishing Report 3-9-08

March 9th, 2008 by Gillwetter Press

In the surf some small bluefish, speckled trout, red drum, & Virginia mullet.

Inshore speckled trout, red drum & catfish.

At the mouth of the Cape Fear River some Virginia mullet are showing up. The piers will reopen on Easter weekend.

Fishing tip of the week: There is a new bait & tackle shop in town. It was formally known as Seagull Bait & Tackle. Now it will be called Carolina One Stop Bait & Tackle Shop located at 608 Lake Park Blvd just south of the Carolina Beach lake. They will have a full line of inshore & offshore fishing accessories, all your bait needs, as well as snacks, drinks, etc. So stop by & check them out. Keep fishing & stay safe.
