North Carolina Fishing Tip and Fishing Report
March 16th, 2008 by Gillwetter PressThere have been some gray trout, a few Virginia mullet, & small black bass right off the beach, at John’s creek, & high rock.
Inshore the fishing is getting better also. A few small red drum, speckled trout, & black drum & Virginia mullet. If you like fishing for Virginia mullet go to the mouth of the Cape Fear River. We have had some good catches last week. They are not very big, but very good eating size at about a pound apiece.
The piers will be opening soon so we will start having pier reports.
Fishing tip of the week: For those of you with boats be sure to check your battery connections. Take a small wire brush & clean the terminals & wire connections. I do this every six months. Keep fishing & be safe.
