Affordable Charters Fishing Report 9-28-08

September 28th, 2008 by Gillwetter Press

Due to all the rain & extremely high tides this past week it has flushed all the bait & a lot of the fish into the ocean. They will trickle back inshore & fishing should pick back up in the next few days.

On the piers a few spots, blowfish, Virginia mullet, croaker, pompano, small flounder, puppy drum, black drum, large blues & king mackerel.

In the surf pompano, Virginia mullet, a few red & black drum, bluefish, blowfish, some small flounder, & speckled trout.

Inshore gray trout, speckled trout, bluefish, flounder, blowfish, red & black drum, black bass, pigfish, & a few spots.

Offshore no report.

Fishing tip of the week: There’s plenty of mullet minnow & menhaden to be caught right outside the inlets. That will be a good helpful hint for the king mackerel tournament coming up. Keep fishing & stay safe.
