December 21st, 2009 by Gillwetter PressThe water temperature has really dropped due to the cold weather we’ve had. This pretty well puts a halt to fishing. In the past few years cold weather has hit later which provided great fishing over the holidays. But we are still catching a few speckled trout in the surf, a few Virginia mullet, & a stray puppy drum here & there. In the Cape Fear we are starting to catch a few more stripped bass, speckled trout, & catfish. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from the Carty’s.
