Affordable Charters Fishing Report 01-11-10
January 11th, 2010 by Gillwetter PressThis past week there have been a few fishermen that have braved the cold & caught off the surf nice size red drum on artificial bait. Up around Wilmington in the Cape Fear River there have been some stripped bass in the 5 to 10 lb. range & a few speckled trout. Some smaller speckled trout have been caught in the Carolina Beach Yacht Basin. Remember while fishing in this extremely cold water you want to slow down the presentation of your lure. The fish are pretty lethargic. Keep fishing & stay safe.
