Affordable Charters Fishing Report

There have reports of some speckled trout being caught around Bald Head & the 1st & 2nd bay walls & the mouth of the dredge hole. Small speckled trout being caught in the Carolina Beach yacht basin. Up around Wilmington some nice catches of stripped bass & a few red drum. Remember you are not allowed to keep any stripped bass. They are great fun to catch so take a picture & let them go. Catching some nice size stripped bass up around the Wilmington docks using large grubs & bucktails. There have been some reports of some speckled trout being caught in the Carolina Beach yacht basin & in the river around the dredge hole. Some nice size speckled trout are being caught around the Brunswick River area. Lets keep our fingers crossed & hope this water temperature doesn’t drop anymore so we can get out & catch some fish. Blast from the past. This was a good day fishing at the mouth of the Cape Fear River aboard Affordable Charters. We caught a cooler full of trout & Virginia mullet by using bottom rigs with cut bait.
