In the surf some small Virginia mullet, small flounder, some puppy drum, black drum, bluefish, & sharks.

On the piers catching King mackerel, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, Virginia mullet, flounder, black drum, croaker, & sharks.

In the river, bays, & waterways some red drum, black drum, speckled trout, gray trout, flounder, bluefish, sharks, stingrays & a few Virginia mullet.

Fishing tip of the week: For anyone who fishes or catches bait in the dredge hole in the Cape Fear River. Our government has decided that this is federal waters & will now run you out with the threat of a large fine so beware. Another sign of the times paying people to enforce an unnecessary rule. Our tax dollars at work. Keep fishing & stay safe.
