Affordable Charters Fishing Report 2-28-11

February 28th, 2011 by Gillwetter Press

There have been reports of some pan fish starting to move into the mouth of the Cape Fear such as small croaker, Virginia mullet, & black bass.

In the waterways & bays we are still catching a few red drum & speckled trout. Reports of striped bass & red drum being caught in the Wilmington area of the Cape Fear River.

The water temperature overall in this area has been around 55 degrees this past week. As the water continues to warm up the fishing should continue to get better. Keep fishing & stay safe.
