Catching some red drum around the backwaters of Bald Head. A few Virginia mullet are being caught around the mouth of the Cape Fear. Some nice size speckled trout in the Carolina Beach yacht basin. A few striped bass & a few red drum up around Wilmington. Keep fishing & stay safe.

Ryan, Kara, Josh, Bobby, & Nick had a good day catching Virginia mullet while fishing in the lower Cape Fear.


Ed, Marilyn, & David from Charlotte, NC caught a nice stringer of Virginia mullet while fishing at Oak Island.

Affordable Charters Fishing Report 2-20-12

In the surf there have been a few reports of some nice sized Virginia mullet & some black drum being caught using shrimp. Still catching some red drum in the lower Cape Fear. Up the river catching a few striped bass & speckled trout. Keep fishing & stay safe.
