Over the past week we have had some great trips. We have averaged several 12 to 18 fish redfish day, with the slow days being 9 to 10 reds. These trips have also had a few flounder and trout added to the mix. The trout have been nice size 18 to 20 inch fish. In the ocean we have caught lots of spanish and bluefish. The kings and cobia have been cruising the coast following the schools of menhaden. Now is a great time to go inshore fishing in Carolina beach, Wrightsville beach, Bald Head Island, or Southport. If you want to book a great light tackle inshore fishing trip give me a call at 910-264-1807. Here are a few pics of my clients and their fish.

Thanks for reading the report and checking out the pics. If you want to catch redfish, trout, and flounder give me call at 910-264-1807. Now is the time to go fishing, if you wait, you might miss the boat and bite….
Thanks for reading the report I hope you enjoyed it, if you want your pic posted book a trip and fish hard.

The past few weeks we were blessed with average fishing and lots of wind. We caught fish but had to work hard and cover lots of ground. Anybody saying the oppisite, well you know what I mean.
Inshore we have caught red drum on live mudminnow, fresh shrimp, and with lures on the flats boat. The black drum and a few sheepshead have been biting shrimp and small crabs. We also caught bluefish and a few flounder as well. At the mouth of the river we caught lots of whiting on fresh shrimp. The whiting fishing is almost over since the sharks have moved in.
Just off the beach the bluefish and spanish mackerel have showed up in great numbers. We have been catching these fish casting spoons to surface feeders or trolling. This action has been great when the weather has allowed us to get in the ocean.
I know the weather is going to break, winds calm down and the fish will get to really biting. If you want to sightcast to redfish or cast spoons at spanish give me a call at 910-264-1807.
Here are a few pics of the last few trips, fishing fun was had by everyone….
