CarolinaExplorer 7-28 fishing report: Red drum, flounder, trout, sharks, spanish and various others!!

July 28th, 2014 by Capt. Robert Schoonmaker

Inshore we have been catching red drum, trout, and flounder. We have caught the reds and trout on 1/4oz and 3/8oz swim baits and topwater early in the morning. Live bait has been working all day. The flounder are getting bigger and love a mullet minnow or gulp shrimp.

On the Coastal trips the flounder bite has been hot, a long with the grey trout. A few big reds have been biting as well. A shark is not a uncommon drag burner. The spanish bite has been good on clarkspoons.

Check out the pics and see what you might catch.

As you can see we are catching fish and having a great time on each and every trip. Give me a call at 910-264-1807 and Book your trip today.

Thanks,

Capt. Robert Schoonmaker
