Fishing Report Deep Jigging Day #2 10-14-2010
October 16th, 2010 by Gillwetter Press | Comments OffDay #2 was a much nicer ride out (but paid the price on the ride in). The current shifted over night and the fish were still eating but a smaller class of fish in the morning. Still had good action and found a couple of Blackfin and Grouper for dinner. We did manage to find some decent fish later in the day and the guys were worn out and ready to move inshore to try top water action. We decided to move in to a wreck around 25 miles since the winds were starting to pick up. Started top water popping and had a large King mackerel sky the bait but missed the hooks. Then the weather turned nasty as a front moved across the area. We had a exciting ride in through the rain and wind squalls but back home safe and day #3 is not happening due to the forecast. Everyone had a great time and all left with sore muscles thanks to NC deep water jigging.
