Fishing Report Miami Bone Fish 12-11-2010
December 15th, 2010 by Gillwetter PressWe had to head to Miami for my brother-in-law’s wedding so me and David had to get 1 day of fishing with our favorite Captain Joe of “Funny Bone” in Miami. For a change we hit the weather perfect with 80 degrees and light north winds. It didn’t take long for Joe to find a large school of fish (I mean over 200 bone fish) balled up just off a flat and I was on but the fish broke me off in the sea fans. Not to worry the day was filled with schools of hundreds of bone fish. I have fished with Joe for 18 years now and never saw schools this large most of the day. We landed 8 nice fish and lost many more. My son David is getting too good with 5 fish but I had the largest around 9 1/2 lbs. Also caught a previously tagged fish. As usual Joe never disappoints and we have a great day with plenty of laughs. If anyone ever gets a chance to get to Miami and wants to warm up and catch plenty of large bone fish look up Joe Gonzalaz 305-798-0841.
