Fishing Report 4-24-2011 Gulf Stream

April 26th, 2011 by Gillwetter Press

I had Mike and his son Joel on a combo trip for Joel’s 21st birthday. Started jigging in 140 feet but no current and very little action. Changed over and started trolling and it didn’t take long to hearing drags screaming with Black fin and other species. Mike landed a nice Wahoo and then a double header of tuna. Trolled out to the deep in the middle of the day and found too many False Albes. Started jigging in the deep and Mike landed his 1st large AJ on jig. We had plenty of action with Almacos and AJs. Finished the day trolling with constant action. Had a Sail in the baits but couldn’t get a hook in her. Joel finished the day with a fat 20 lb Black fin.
