Fishing Report 6-30-2011

July 5th, 2011 by Gillwetter Press

Had a 3/4 day live bait trip with a family from Charlotte, NC. Caught plenty of live pogies in the dark and headed off shore 20 miles. It didn’t take long and had the 1st double header of AJs. We continued to hand feed them bait next to the boat for the next hour until everyone had had enough pain. Tried slow trolling for kings but not luck. Went out to a ledge in 80 feet and tried for grouper but only found sharks. I ocean seemed to shutdown after lunch. Ended the day with a few kings strikes but couldn’t keep them hooked. Sorry for got the camera again.
