Seahawk Inshore Fishing Report 11/14/08

November 14th, 2008 by Gillwetter Press | No Comments »

The inshore fishing has been really good lately with catches of redfish, speckled trout, striped bass, black drum, and whiting.

We are catching lots of redfish working artificials around shellbeds, oyster rocks, and dock pilings.

The speckled trout bite has been really good also. We are catching the specs on live shrimp, mirrolures, grubs, and artificial shrimp.

We have caught lots of stripers in the upper Cape Fear river recently fishing for speckled trout using live shrimp and Rapala X Raps. We have also picked up a few black drum with the live shrimp.

There are also some really nice whiting being caught in the lower Cape Fear river.

The fishing should be on fire for the next few weeks. The redfish should be schooled up on the flats. I am ready to do some shallow water sightcasting out of the Ranger Banshee Extreme.

Check out some of photos from the past few weeks.

Thanks,
Jeff Wolfe
