Capt Grady had a good weekend of Fishing. This was a half day trip not far off the beach and this group had a blast. Plenty of sharks and Spanish Mackerel to catch. Grady also reported the king mackerel, dolphin and sailfish bite is still pretty good. They fished off shore Sunday and did pretty good on the school kings and caught one sail and a few dolphin. If you are thinking of fishing with us please shot us a line so we can make sure you get on the books this summer. Also don’t forget to register for our free Charter give away on the home page. Feel free to send us any pictures you may have of fish or fishing reports.

Top Secret Tarpon Bite! They are close to us that’s all I can say. If you have never caught a Tarpon its a must if you are a serious fisherman. They migrate through this area once a year and don’t stay to long. They stage in-front of our inlets and along the cape fear river. They are a little early this year but we will take them. We were fishing they other day and a friend of mine on another boat saw one roll and called me into the bite. We went 4 for 4 on Tarpon. Give me a call or email if you want to go.. Again it want last long.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th this weekend. I took the day off on saturday and spent some time hanging with everyone over in mason’s inlet. The girl friend makes me do that every once in a while. Grady had a good trip on friday with a single guy from Raleigh who got plenty of time on the rod and reel and a Box full of Fish and Meat to take home. They fished around the school house and 23 mile rock and caught plenty of kings and had two nice doplhin. One king was in the 25 pound range nice fish. They marked plenty of bait fish and said the pogies were also very easy to catch in motts chanel. Headed out again tuesday will keep you posted. Some pictuers from the weekend..

Enjoy

Hope eveyone had a good weekend. We Fished the Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournment and only had one bite all weekend and it was a small Wahoo. Very slow for us and most of the fleet.Hope The tournament was won by a Boat Called Maggie out of More Head City congrats to those guys. The gulf stream has gotten so hot the fished have either moved on past us or they just didn’t feed could have been some of both. We didn’t see a bill fish all weekend but I promise we had a LARGE time as always. Grady fished near shore Sat and found the king mackeral’s pretty good. Sounds like the dolphin fishing is also staying good. We have a busy week coming up so stay in touch and let us know if you want to go.

Fishing continues to be very good off shore and near shore. We had a great day on the Abigail out of Wrightsville beach yesterday. We started off out in the way deep looking for a blue marlin. I found what I was looking for with a good line made up around 75 fathoms. Lot’s of little tuna’s and baits fish but not bill fish for us. On the break a few guys caught the sail fish pretty good and another boat had a blue one in his spread. We ended up in a 130 feet of water and found 8 or 10 dolphin and one Wahoo. I am headed up to Hatters today to fish the big rock marlin tournament that start’s Monday. The girls are fishing the ladies tournament that start’s in the morning. If you are going to be following the tournament we will be on the Stream Weaver.

Capt Grady is staying home running a half day charter tomorrow and he has a few more next week. But give us a call if you want to go and don’t forget to register for our free half day give away this summer.

2nd Place Calcutta

We had a great weekend of Fishing. The first day we went to the south around the 100/400 found a nice degree in a half break and stayed on the dolphin all day pretty much by our selves. We weighed our fish in and were 4th after the first day behind Stream Weaver, Lanes Choice and Music Man. We had our work cut out for us the second day to catch up. We headed to the east the second day started off in a 160 feet of water and right off the bat got covered up with Yellow Fin Tuna. Every bait we had in the water got hit but only ended up with two fish during the flurry. We did manage to caught another Yellow fin and put some smaller dolphin in the Boat. Towards the end of the day we had a couple of good chances with bigger dolphin and a Nice Wahoo but luck was not on our side. Over all it was a great two days of fishing with Bill Fish being caught all the Dolphin you want along with Wahoo’s and Tuna. It just doesn’t get any better than that. The Weather looks Awesome this week we are headed out in the morning for a 3/4 day with Eric and his Crew from Ohio!

Capt Grady also had a good weekend he took a party out sat and Sunday and also did well on the Dolphin and King Mackerel. We stayed in the twenty mile range of the beach. Don’t Wait; call us if you want to go it doesn’t get any better. Also don’t forget to register on my home page for our free charter give away. www.wilmingtonfishingcharters.com

The tuna showed up for us last weekend. We faught the rough seas and found a nice school of Tuna around the 250 line in 300 feet of water. The fishing has been great off shore if the weather will let us get out. The weekend looks good. The near shore bite has also been good with king mackeral and Cobia. Right off the beach we are catching plenty of spanish and blue fish which is a perfect trip, for a half day charter. Don’t forget to register to WIN a FREE charter I am giving away this summer its on my home page www.wilmingtonfishingcharters.com .
